A színészek improvizációinak felhasználásával írta: Tasnádi István
„Tasnádi István keltetőjében született opusz evolúciós problémákat feszeget a csirke-lét szemszögéből. Jutalom-játék három színésznek, szórakoztató ajándék a nézőnek, a mélyben azonban fenyegetően leselkedik a félelmetes valóság." (részlet egy kritikából)

Our offer
A Streetcar Named Desire is Marianna Venekei's first full-length choreography. The project, lovingly nurtured for many years, is a collaboration between her and composer-saxophonist László Dés.
As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.
This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.
