Egy este alatt összegyűlik a falu népe, hogy megvitassa miként is lesz náluk, a világ végén Olimpia. Persze az öngyilkos-jelölt öngyilkossága se sikerül és a túl ambiciózus énekesnőt se lehet levakarni a tehetségkutató színpadáról. A zsűri folyamatosan elbőgi magát, de ennek ellenére mindenki humoránál van. Viccesen életszerű jelenetek váltják egymást a fergeteges kabaré során egy igazán vidám színpadon.
