A Kilépés a fénybe című oratóriuma halottak napjára készült, és a szerző eredetileg szülei emlékének ajánlotta. A mű az egyiptomi halottaskönyv megzenésítése a szerző saját fordításában és szerkesztésében. A grandiózus és misztikus téma feldolgozása szinte a székbe szegezi a hallgatóságot.
Hangversenyünk második felében már a fényben vagyunk. Mozart, akit Wagner csak így aposztrofált: Der Licht- und Liebesgenius (a fény és a szeretet zsenije) Jupiter szimfóniája a zenetörténetben a lehetetlen egyfajta birtokba vétele. Csupa pompa, tobzódás, magával ragadó zenei szerkesztés jellemzi ezt a művet, melynek végén a szerző még egy grandiózus fúgával is megajándékozza a hallgatóságot.
