Három év telt házai, lelkes kritikái és számos fesztiválelőadás után Tatabányán is látható az 1956-os forradalom Nagy Imrével együtt kivégzett honvédelmi minisztere, Maléter Pál és a 2019. december 1-jén 87 évesen elhunyt, ám haláláig szellemileg teljesen friss özvegye, Gyenes Judith tragikus, ám mégis melegséggel, humorral, boldogsággal teli története, mely egyúttal a magyar közelmúlt egyik legfényesebb pillanatáról is első kézből számol be.
“56 - nekem ez máig is a csoda. Ami az életemben a csúcs volt, az emberhez méltó. Furcsa, hogy ezt így mondom, hiszen akkor én nagyot vesztettem, a legnagyobbat, amit ember veszíthet. Én akkor mindent elvesztettem! Mégis úgy gondolok vissza rá, hogy gyönyörű volt.”

While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.
