Ez a Balázs szereti a vidámságot, a cigányzenét, no meg azt, ha portáján három napig tart a vigasság. Azonban az asszonykája, Pólika már kicsit más, számára sáskajárás minden mulatság. S ha egy karakán, makacs menyecske megorrol az urára, akkor biz' elszalad és egy fél falu kell a kibékítésére. Könnyed, léha világ könnyed komédiája, amiben semmi sem visszafordíthatatlan, semmi sem végzetes. Tükröt tart egy letűnt kor, a boldog jólét vidám, ám könnyelmű kora elé.
