Nekeresd ország Nevenincs királyának mindene megvan, mégis boldogabb nála még a mezítlábas kisgyermek is. Hiába fűtik be a hatalmas kandallót, hiába bugyolálják aranyos palástba – a király rettenetesen fázik, sőt mi több: didereg! Mikor már a csengő barack, a mosolygó alma, de még a szóló szőlő venyigéje is tűzre kerül, betipeg egy pici lány a hatalmas trónterembe, s azt kérdezi mézédes hangján a farkasbundában vacogó királytól: miért szedette le a házuk tetejét, hiszen most megfázik a babája… A didergő királynak megolvad a szíve, babaruhának ígéri bársonyköntösét és menten kitárja ajtaját, hadd tóduljon be fázó népe, hadd lakjon jól a legkedvesebb vendégsereg… És hadd kapjon a mi legkedvesebb vendégseregünk, a gyermekközönség egy csodás, zenével átszőtt, igazi bíborpalástos, fényes-tróntermes mesejátékot.

There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
