Réges-régen valamikor az ősidőkben, de legalábbis a múlt péntek előtt Micimackó az erdőben élt, saját kunyhójában. S ugyanebben az erdőben lakott a fontoskodó Nyuszi, a tudálékos Bagoly, a félénk Malacka, a sértődős Füles, Kanga, a kengurumama kicsinyével, Zsebibabával, no meg a vidám ugrálós Tigris és persze mindnyájuk szeretett gazdája, Micimackó legjobb barátja: Róbert Gida. E mesebeli erdő mindennap érdekes és mulatságos események színtere.
A hazánkban is méltán népszerű Milne-mese - sok-sok zenével és tánccal - 2006 októbere óta a Bánfalvy Stúdió előadásában is látható. Feldolgozásunkkal igyekszünk még több hívet szerezni eme örökbecsű történetnek, kicsik és nagyok körében egyaránt. A darab egyébként 2011. őszén ünnepelte 150. előadását, s idén a 200. fellépést is elérjük.

A century ago, the world first encountered this remarkable opus, a work that soon became one of the cornerstones of twentieth-century musical innovation. Premiered in 1926, the singspiel is a milestone in Hungarian music history: its composer, Zoltán Kodály, fulfilled his aspiration to elevate Hungarian folk song of ancient origin to the same status as classical music, by virtue of its equivalent values, placing it on the stage of the nation’s Opera House.
