Itt van többek közt a jó családból származó, eladósorban lévő Hope Harcourt és anyja, Evangeline, aki a társadalmi státusz fenntartása érdekében egy brit lordhoz, Evelyn Oakleighoz szándékozik lányát hozzáadni, egy Yale-öregdiák, jelenleg new yorki üzletember és gyakorló tőzsdecápa Elisha Whitney a kissé szeleburdi, ámde annál szerelmesebb asszisztensével, Billy Crockerrel, akinek tulajdonképpen nem is kellene a hajón lenni, egy hittérítőből lett szexi dizőz, Reno Sweeney a maga angyalaival, egy gyakorló hittérítő megtért szerencsejátékosokkal…. Felbukkan továbbá egy kétes hírnévre vágyó, kétbalkezes, ámde rettenthetetlen gengszter, Tejbetök Martin, és macája, Erma, s ezzel megkezdődik a félreértések, szerepcserék, szerelmi csalódások-háromszögek-békülések, beharangozott-lemondott- elhalasztott-elcserélt kézfogók végeláthatatlan sora….. Londonig talán kibogozódnak a szálak?
Our offer
The tenor, recently awarded the title of Austrian Kammersänger, began his career on operetta stages. After performing in operas by Mozart, Beethoven, and Weber, he has since grown into one of the most significant Wagnerian Heldentenors of our time.
“I've captured a terrific storm of elements and of hearts which gradually calms to Brünnhilde's magic sleep,” Wagner on the score of Die Walküre, in a letter to Ferenc Liszt. Following on the heels of the introductory Das Rheingold, this opera about the tragic love between two of Wotan's children constitutes the start of the more tightly drawn dramatic trilogy. Once again, the laws of the gods clash: can paternal love save a lad who has violated the sanctity of marriage?
