Az eszmék is megöregednek, Merlin? Elöregszenek és aztán meghalnak, akár az ember? És a birodalmunk, Merlin? Ezer évig tart-e, vagy velünk pusztul?
A vállamon itt ül az apám, az apámon a nagyapám, a nagyapámon meg a nagyapám apja. Egy tornyot hordok a vállamon. Hogyan birkózzam meg apám tetteivel?
Ki itt áll és töpreng: én vagyok-e, Merlin? És a történet, mi velem kezdődik, az én történetem? S ha általad történik, hogy én történelmet csinálok: akkor a tiedet ki csinálja, mondd, vajon? Az ördög az? Vagy Isten?

This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
