Tasnádi István a Bárka Színház alapító tagja, 1996-tól 2001-ig dramaturgja. 2001-től 2007-ig a Krétakör Színház rezidens drámaírója. Főbb drámáit (Közellenség, NEXXT – Frau Plastic Chicken Show, Hazámhazám, Feketeország, Phaidra) a Krétakör Színház és a Katona József Színház vendégjátékain Európa több mint húsz városában játszották.
