A szuggesztivitásáról, tiszta és természetes zeneiségéről is ismert Kossuth-díjas művész a romantikus versenymű-irodalom egyik legszebb darabját, Schumann éppen százhetven éve befejezett alkotását szólaltatja meg a kiváló zenekarral. A karmester a nevét ma is viselő vonósnégyes alapítója és egykori primáriusa, Takács-Nagy Gábor, aki a kamarazene világában szerzett több évtizedes tapasztalatával zenekarvezetőként is a szólamok egymásra reagálására helyezi a súlyt, ezáltal a szimfonikus alkotások kamarazenei jellegét domborítja ki, szinte átvilágítva a partitúrát, s azzal az élménnyel ajándékozza meg a hallgatót, hogy a kompozíció itt és most születik. A műsor második részében a programzenei műfaj egyik emblematikus alkotása, Beethoven VI. szimfóniája lesz hallható, míg a hangverseny nyitányaként ennek a programzenei műfajnak a romantika által továbbgondolt, szintén ábrázoló-láttató szimfonikus változata, Mendelssohn skóciai élmények alapján írt „hangos útikönyve” szólal meg.

There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
