1962 tavaszán-nyarán felbolydult az ’56 után apátiába süllyedt Magyarország: Gagarin őrnagy szupersztár lett a béketáborból, Mastroianni napszemüvege és Anita Ekberg keblei megőrjítik az embereket a mozikban az Édes életet nézve.
Bár a kubai rakétaválság miatt a világ épp a III. világháború határán táncol, de kis hazánkban süt a nap, barna bőrű hableányok tartanak fürdőruha bemutatót az új tömbstrandon, és ha a népet békén hagyná a felső vezetés, imádnának élni. Hogy hőseinknek beteljesül-e az álmuk, és megnyerik-e a Ki mit tud?-ot, az már csak rajtuk múlik. Vagy mégsem...? Mindegy, ők imádtak élni. Akkor is, és ma is.

The tale of Leander the goblin and Princess Linseed, brimming with magic and a seemingly unbreakable curse, not to mention a wealth of twists and turns, is a genuinely good yarn. Set to a libretto by Barnabás Szöllősi that is based on Andor Szilágyi's fable for the theatre and written at the OPERA's request in the 2014/15 season, Erkel Prize-winning composer Zsófia Tallér's masterful, expressive and entertaining music makes this Hungarian fairy tale opera an enjoyable experience for children and adults alike, and, we hope, a possible future classic.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
