Rajongók tömegei tolonganak, hogy üdvözölhessék a sztárt, aki a háború alatt a szövetséges csapatok oldalán, a harctéren segítette dalaival a harcoló egységeket. A darab egy különleges nő, egy ikonként imádott előadó kulisszatitkait mutatja be. Kíméletlenül elénk tárul mindaz a szenvedés, félelemés bizonytalanság, amit az öregedő színésznő él át, hogy a róla alkotott képet megőrizze. A darabban elhangzanak a jól ismert Marlene Dietrich dalok és reményeink szerint az előadás végére a nézőkben is megfogalmazódik, hogy „Marlene örök”.
