Egy kislány játszik a poros padláson. Nagymamája nyikorgó ládájában talál egy tükröt és egy rúzst. Ahogy kifesti kicsi száját, és a tükörbe néz, egyszercsak híres, nagy énekesnőként látja magát, aki egy este majd csillogva áll a rivalda fényében. Ez az est elérkezett. Az egykori kislány rúzsa idefesti elénk az álmok és a valóság énekesnőjét: ő Magdaléna!
Rúzsa Magdi átváltozik, és Magdalénaként lép a színpadra, hogy őszinte hangon meséljen ismeretlen életéről dalokban és történetekben. A nagy slágerek, az új vagy újrafelfedezésre kerülő dalok különleges alkalmat teremtenek arra, hogy a nagyszerű énekesnő új oldaláról mutatkozzon be.
