„Tessék mondani, merre van az Erkel Színház?” – kérdezte egy fiatal lány 1988 januárjában a Keleti pályaudvaron. A Moszkvában tanuló, de épp odahaza, Győrben vakációzó Lukács Gyöngyi beugrott az Erkel színházi Trubadúr előadásba. Húszéves volt ekkor, az az este pedig pályafutásának – ebben a drámai-spinto szoprán szerepkörben – bravúrosan korai kezdetét jelentette. Az azóta eltelt harminc évet foglalja össze az a gálahangverseny, amely a nemzetközi karriert befutott, Kossuth-díjas, önéletrajzi könyvet is megjelentetett művésznő saját válogatású műsora, és amelyen olyan világhírű énekesek lépnek majd fel, mint Marcello Giordani vagy Alexandru Agache.
A gálaesten részletek hangzanak el Bellini Norma, Verdi Aida és Az álarcosbál, valamint Ponchielli Gioconda című operáiból.
