A Liszt Ferenc Kamarazenekar több éve szervez sorozatot a Budapest Music Centerben, melynek akusztikája ideális a kamarazenekarok számára. A 2015/6 évadban négy koncerten hallhatják az 1963-ban alapított világhírű együttest változatos műsorral, Bartók Béla és Farkas Ferenc darabjainak jegyében.

A sorozat első koncertjén Bartók Bélára emlékezik a zenekar, aki 70 éve hunyt el 1945. szeptember 26-án. Divertimento vonószenekarra c. művét a világ számos országában nagy sikerrel előadta már az együttes, a Budapest Music Center közönsége első alkalommal hallhatja a zenekartól. A népszerű Duókat és a Román népi táncokat is eljátssza a Liszt Ferenc Kamarazenekar, mely darabok az utóbbi években elsősorban a külföldi turnéikon hallhatóak.

Our offer

As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.

The tenor, recently awarded the title of Austrian Kammersänger, began his career on operetta stages. After performing in operas by Mozart, Beethoven, and Weber, he has since grown into one of the most significant Wagnerian Heldentenors of our time.

There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
