Az előadás a lemondásról és a folytonos újrakezdésekről szól. Liselotte álma, és egyben rögeszméje, hogy egy férfit találjon maga mellé. De próbálkozásai haszontalanok, mert a megjelenő férfiak, csak saját frusztrációikra képesek figyelni, amelyek majd halálukat is okozzák. A darabnak van egy reális és egy abszurd vonala. Liselotte története a realitás görbéjén mozog. A férfiak viszont, mintha karikatúrái lennének egy-egy férfi tulajdonságnak.

For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.
The German bass began his career at the opera houses of Berlin. However, when Sir Georg Solti cast him in the role of Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte, René Pape’s international career almost immediately continued on the stages of the world’s greatest houses including the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Vienna State Opera, Bayreuth, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
