A Liliomfi XIX. századi drámatermésünknek egyik legtöbbet játszott, színpadról, filmrõl egyaránt ismert, népszerû darabja. A könnyed hangvételû játék középpontjában természetesen szerelmi bonyodalom áll, de a fiatalok boldogságát legfeljebb késleltetni tudják az események, megakadályozni nem. Az álöltözetek, a komikus vénkisasszony nevelõnõ, a bogaras tudós nagybácsi a humor biztos forrásai, a szabad színészélet pedig reformkori ízû lelkesedéssel ábrázoltatik.

Two giants of Baroque music meet during the Advent season in a performance by the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus. Bach’s well-known Magnificat is performed in its original version, in E-flat major, supplemented with movements specifically tailored to the festive season by the composer himself.

Following on the heels of the introductory Das Rheingold, this opera about the tragic love between two of Wotan's children constitutes the start of the more tightly drawn dramatic trilogy. Once again, the laws of the gods clash: can paternal love save a lad who has violated the sanctity of marriage?
