Ráadásul három olyan stílusban, amely különösen közel áll hozzájuk: Ligeti György a huszadik század legeredetibb szerzői közé tartozik, az együttes pedig büszke pionírja ennek az izgalmas repertoárnak Magyarországon. Mozart kiemelt szerepet kap az Óbudai Danubia Zenekar évadában: több koncerten is megszólalnak a szerző darabjai, hiszen az ő stílusa a zenekari nyelv minden alapszavát tartalmazza. Mahler ritka vendég az együttesnél, ezért minden koncert, amin megszólal a komponista műve, ünnep számukra. Ezúttal a sokak által legjobbnak tartott „szimfóniáját”, ezt az emberélethez szóló gyönyörű szerelmi vallomást játsszák el.
A koncert fényét a tündöklő Komlósi Ildikó (mezzoszprán) és Kovácsházi István közreműködése emeli.
