Lomov földbirtokos – aki, bár folyamatosan vélt betegségekkel küszködik, alapjában egészséges-, elérvén 35. életévét, haladéktalanul meg akar nősülni. A nagy vadász hírében álló szomszéd földbirtokos egyetlen leányát szeretné megkérni. A váratlanul virágcsokorral beállító fiatalember hamarosan életveszélyes helyzetekbe keveredik a lobbanékony, hirtelen haragú szomszédoknál…
Anton Pavlovics Csehov: A medve
A fiatal özvegy földbirtokosnő, hetedik hónapja gyászolja lankadatlanul nagytermészetű, elhalt urát. Elhatározása szent: elzárkózik a világtól, haláláig gyászolni fog. Ekkor állít be hozzá hívatlanul Szmirnov földbirtokos, hogy néhai férje nagyon is élő tartozását behajtsa. Szmirnov nyers modorú, goromba ember (akár egy medve), aki, számtalan szerelmi kudarcon túl, nőre már rá sem bír nézni. Kettejük drámai találkozása szokatlan végkifejletet ígér: Szmirnov párbajra hívja ki az özvegyet…

Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
Two giants of Baroque music meet during the Advent season in a performance by the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus. Bach’s well-known Magnificat is performed in its original version, in E-flat major, supplemented with movements specifically tailored to the festive season by the composer himself.
There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
