"1984-ben, a Hobo Blues Band Vadászat című lemezén mondtam először Pilinszky János Négysorosát. A vers skarlátbetűként átégette azt a kort, a lemezt és az előadásokat. Az abban a helyzetben érzett és felvállalt kilátástalan szomorúságot, a pontosan felismert reménytelenséget és vigaszként a kötelező őszinteséget jelentette számomra. Versei azóta kísérnek csavargásaimban, és visszahoztak egy-két sötét mellékútról" - mondja Hobo.

Ismét Pilinszkyhez fordult Hobo: reményért, hitért, szeretetért és vigaszért.

Our offer

“I've captured a terrific storm of elements and of hearts which gradually calms to Brünnhilde's magic sleep,” Wagner on the score of Die Walküre, in a letter to Ferenc Liszt. Following on the heels of the introductory Das Rheingold, this opera about the tragic love between two of Wotan's children constitutes the start of the more tightly drawn dramatic trilogy. Once again, the laws of the gods clash: can paternal love save a lad who has violated the sanctity of marriage?

Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
