Karinthy szerint „a kabaréjelenet különleges kis műfajocska, amely örökérvényűen fejezi ki az életet. Egy “cseppecske dráma” csupán, de dráma, mert bármennyire mulatságos, sőt röhögtető, komolyan kell venni. S ha komolyan vesszük, nem is kell okvetlenül kapcsolatban lennie a napi eseményekkel.

Jelenetek, kuplék, humoreszkek és persze jófajta borok a századforduló fogásai közé.
Az Étlap mai, a fogások frissek, a poénok 100 évesek. Csak éppen pont olyanok, mintha ma születtek volna… Ha nem hiszi, járjon utána!
„Mivel a karanténban mindenki amatőr szakács és pék lett, idén válogattam gasztronómiához köthető írásokból is: Karinthy elévülhetetlen és megunhatatlanul szellemes szövegei igazi klasszikus delicatesst, míg kortársaink, Cserna Szabó András, Kovács András Ferenc, Parti Nagy Lajos és Kiss Ottó inkább egyfajta fine diningot jelenthetnek a közönségnek, ha gasztroul kellene kifejezni.”

The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
