Van egy birodalom. Ennek a birodalomnak van egy királya. Ha a király boldogtalan, a birodalma is boldogtalan. Márpedig a mi királyunk rettentően boldogtalan, ugyanis szörnyű tragédiát él át: nem érzi többé a csoki ízét! Hosszú útra kell indulnia, hogy megtalálja a Nagy Csokitortát, az egyetlen varázslót, aki vissza tudja adni neki a csoki ízét. Kalandjai során furábbnál furább alakokkal találkozik, és az út végén derül ki, hogy amit igazából keresett, az mindvégig ott volt a szeme előtt.
Mesés utazás az ízek birodalmába, ahol a gyermek kicsit felnőtté válhat, a felnőtt pedig egy kicsit újra gyermek lehet.
