Blondin, a kiöregedett artista életét kockáztatva rendszeres időközönként, biztosítás nélkül, egy kötélen sétál át a Niagara fölött. Olykor zsákban teszi meg az utat vagy talicskát tol, esetleg megáll omlettet sütni. Mivel szenvedélyének természetes velejárója a veszély, ez valamennyire érthető, de amikor egyik rajongója, a tizenhét éves Carolin azzal az ötlettel áll elő, hogy mindkettőjük életét kockáztatva őt vigye át a Niagara fölött, az már Blondin számára is igazi őrültségnek hangzik.
Mi mindennel kell megküzdeniük, hogy elindulhasson a közös tánc a kötélen? Mire jó mindez? Talán arra, hogy megértsük; értelmetlennek tűnő örültségeink jelentős részben megmagyarázhatóak...?

Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
Two giants of Baroque music meet during the Advent season in a performance by the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus. Bach’s well-known Magnificat is performed in its original version, in E-flat major, supplemented with movements specifically tailored to the festive season by the composer himself.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances.
