Blondin, a kiöregedett artista életét kockáztatva rendszeres időközönként, biztosítás nélkül, egy kötélen sétál át a Niagara fölött. Olykor zsákban teszi meg az utat vagy talicskát tol, esetleg megáll omlettet sütni. Mivel szenvedélyének természetes velejárója a veszély, ez valamennyire érthető, de amikor egyik rajongója, a tizenhét éves Carolin azzal az ötlettel áll elő, hogy mindkettőjük életét kockáztatva őt vigye át a Niagara fölött, az már Blondin számára is igazi őrültségnek hangzik.
Mi mindennel kell megküzdeniük, hogy elindulhasson a közös tánc a kötélen? Mire jó mindez? Talán arra, hogy megértsük; értelmetlennek tűnő örültségeink jelentős részben megmagyarázhatóak...?

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.
