A Győri Filharmonikus Zenekar hangversenyét Haydn 1773 és 1774 fordulóján komponált 50. szimfóniájával kezdi: a szakirodalom feltevése szerint a klasszikus kiegyensúlyozottságú mű Mária Terézia császárnő eszterházai látogatása alkalmából készült. Három tételes G-dúr fuvolaversenyét egy zenekedvelő amatőr orvos, Ferdinand de Jean felkérésére 1778-ban komponálta Mozart, akiről köztudomású, hogy nem különösebben kedvelte a fuvolát: szerencsére ebből mit sem érezni ebben a bájos és elegáns versenyműben. A szólót a kiváló olasz fuvolaművésznő Silvia Careddu adja elő. Schubert 1818-ban írott 6. szimfóniája izgalmas zenetörténeti körülmények között született: az akkoriban Bécsben tomboló Rossini-láz a Haydn és Beethoven nyomába lépő négy tételes darabban az olasz operazene sajátos fordulatainak felbukkanását eredményezte. A hangverseny dirigense a nemzetközi hírű karmester, Gerard Korsten lesz.
