Mi egy bankrablás egy bankalapításhoz képest? – kérdezi Bicska Maxi a Koldusopera végén; és valóban, ma már tudjuk, hogy amit Bicska Maxi és alvilági barátai csinálnak, semmiség ahhoz képest, amit az igazi nagyhalak, a bankok és a nagyvállalkozók művelnek. Hiszen a bankrabló csak egyszer üríti ki a széfet, a bank viszont rendszeresen fosztogatja az embereket...
Szerelem, árulás, koldusmaffia, hatalom, korrupció és persze sok humor – akár a legjobb mai hollywoodi forgatókönyvben, pedig ezt Bertolt Brecht írta 1928-ban, minden idők egyik legszenvedélyesebb és legvonzóbb darabjában. Nem csoda, hogy a Koldusopera pillanatok alatt világsiker lett, köszönhetően Kurt Weill elsöprő zenéjének is. Ez a mű nemcsak kiállta az idő próbáját, de ma még talán aktuálisabb, mint valaha.

Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. A Streetcar Named Desire is Marianna Venekei's first full-length choreography. The project, lovingly nurtured for many years, is a collaboration between her and composer-saxophonist László Dés.
