Koldus és királyfi
Ugyanabban az időben két fiú születik a 16. századi Londonban. Az egyikük nyomortanyán, a másik a Buckingham palotában. A két fiú, Tom és Edward élete azonban egy véletlen folytán összekapcsolódik: a koldusfiú királyként, a királyfi pedig koldusként él tovább. Mindketten életre szóló tapasztalatokat szereznek.
