Az 1939-es eredeti verzió mellett Török Sándor Gilikoti és Kököjszi és Bobojsza újabb kalandozásai című könyveit is alapul vettük, tanulmányoztuk, hogy minél átfogóbb képet kaphassunk a szerző gyermeki fantáziájáról. Ez után készítette el Tóth Réka Ágnes - akivel ez már a negyedik közös munkánk - a saját adaptációnkat, amely megpróbál ebből a szerteágazó, tömény világból kiragadni egy kis szeletet, és azt kibontani bábszínpadi köntösben.
