A történet 250 évet ölel fel. Netti, az angol árva egy szenespincében kincses térképet talál. A kincskereső hajó Véres Morgan Freely markába kerül. De még mielőtt kiköthettek volna a szigeten, egy nagy viharban Morgan Freely és a kis Netti is a tengerbe fullad. A Holt Lelkek Csarnokában a Tengeri Nagy Tanács úgy dönt, mindkettejük életét megmenti, és egy varázslattal új testben visszaküldi őket egy másik időbe. Véres Morgan Freely ünnepelt popsztárként, DJ Morgan néven éled újjá, Netti pedig holland diákmunkásként DJ Morgan stábjának tagja lesz. A kalóz és a kislány párviadala a mában – tovább folytatódik…
