Íme egy unatkozó férj és asszony, akinek a házassága csak 'félreértés', mellettük pedig a házibarát, ki az elfoglalt férj helyett őrködik a nő erényén, minden megbízás nélkül a szíve sugallatára, minthogy ő szerelmes beléje. A nő állítólag megcsalja a férjet házibarátostul, vagy a házibarátot férjestül együtt, egy másik idegen férfivel. Szóval a háromszögből négyszög lesz... De a háttérben feltűnik egy fiatal rajztanárnő, ki a férjre veti ki a hálóját...
