Kávécsarnok - Tűzoltó
Fanny, a melegszívű pesti kávécsarnok-tulajdonosnő, egy kuglófbetyár vendég, az árva agglegény Alajos úr körmére próbál koppintani, míg Özv. Karácsony Jeremiásné, a feltüzesedett szépasszony, Derecske város délceg tűzoltóját teszi próbára: Melyik tűz eloltása fontosabb; azé-e, ami őbenne ég, vagy amelyik a városban gyulladt ki? Hiába talpig férfi a sisakos-parádés tűzoltó, a végtelen női ravaszság egérfogóba juttatja, akárcsak a Kávécsarnok félregombolt mellényű, szipogó úriemberét. Ebből a csapdából pedig férfi számára nem létezhetik menekvés. Csak egyféleképpen.
