Karinthy Ferenc figuráit a magány űzi, akik bátortalan, vagy éppen meghökkentő lépéseket tesznek egy vadidegen felé. 1971-ben Szinetár Miklós rendezésében forgattak tévéjátékot Karinthy egyfelvonásosából Hámori Ildikóval és Sztankay Istvánnal, 1981-ben pedig Szentendrén láthatta a közönség a legendás előadást a Nosztalgia Kávéházban. A Szentendrei Teátrum is a Dunakanyarhoz sok szállal kötődő Szinetár Miklóst kérte fel, hogy állítsa színre a népszerű művet Szinetár Dóra és Makranczi Zalán alakításában. Az előadás otthona a szentendrei Szamos Marcipán Múzeum Klimt-termének kávézója, de népszerűségének köszönhetően készült belőle egy színpadi változat is – ez érkezik a Benczúr Kerti Esték programsorozatába.
