Bernard Slade 1975-ben írta Jövőre veled ugyanitt című vígjátékát, amelyet Tony-díjra jelöltek, majd a filmadaptációjáért az Oscar-jelölést is begyűjtötte. A darab több mint 1400 előadást ért meg a Broadwayn, a világ több országában is bemutatták.
