Janikovszky Éva könyvein generációk nőttek fel. Bár elsősorban gyerekeknek szóló könyveiről ismert, felnőtteket célzó írásai is egyre több helyen kerülnek feldolgozásra nagy sikerrel. Az írónő gyerekkori naplójából készített, a 6szín teátrum által színpadra vitt Kizárólag az utókor számára című előadás – amelyben Sodró Eliza mellett Martinkovics Máté, a felolvasószínház egyik szereplője és megálmodója szerepel – szintén megerősítette az alkotókat Janikovszky Éva írói nagyságát illetően.
Úgy döntöttek tehát, hogy a 100. születésnap alkalmából, Janikovszky 100 címmel egy zenés összeállítással készülnek műveiből. Műsorukban felolvasnak az írónő néhány számukra kedves, elsősorban, de nem kizárólag felnőtteknek szóló művéből, leginkább A lemez két oldalából. A felolvasások között pedig megidézik a korszakot egy-egy ismert vagy kevésbé ismert slágerrel a 60-as, 70-es évekből.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.
