"János, a favágó reggeltől napestig járta az erdőt és vágta a fákat rendre, jusson tüzelő mindig a városi embereknek. Csak dolgozott, csak dolgozott napestig, de magának alig jutott valami. Szegény ember volt ez a János, de becsülettel nevelte, tanította két gyermekét, akikkel magára maradt. S a két gyermek, Jancsi és Juliska, sokat segített apukájának."

For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.

For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.
