Az István, a király az egyik legnépszerűbb magyar rockopera, melynek első bemutatója 1983. augusztus 18-án volt Budapesten, a városligeti Királydombon. A 2023-as keresztmetszet turné legnagyobb kuriózuma, hogy István szerepét a Máté Péter-díjas rocklegenda Varga Miklós alakítja.
