Varró Dániel a magyar kortárs költészet kiemelkedő alakja, akiért szerteágazó alkotó tevékenysége és egyedi humora miatt a kritika és a közönség egyszerre rajong. A formának és a paródiának egyaránt mestere; számos műfajban megmutatta már a tehetségét a hazai közönség előtt: versek, gyermekversek, színdarabok, valamint műfordítások fűződnek a nevéhez. Munkássága utánozhatatlan stílust, frissességet és modernitást hozott a kortárs magyar irodalomba.
