Brain-like play
"The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge, but imagination. Knowledge is finite. Imagination embraces the whole world..."
As we map the cosmos, so we map the human brain and try to unlock its secrets.
And whose brain is better suited for our research than that of Albert Einstein, perhaps the greatest genius of the 20th century, which disappeared from the autopsy table in 1955 and embarked on a bizarre journey…

Our offer
As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.
