Born in Berlin to a Swedish father and a Japanese mother, Fujiko started playing piano at an early age taught by her mother. Having graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, she entered the Berlin Institute of Music, and later moved to Vienna to further her studies. She enjoyed support from leading authorities on classical music such as Leonard Bernstein and Nikita Magaloff. Although she faced the prospect of losing her hearing at a young age, she went on to be an active concert pianist collaborating with the greatest international orchestras and appearing at the most important halls all over the world. Her debut CD entitled La Campanella became multi-million selling album in 1999. Her programme at the Eiffel Art Studios features popular pieces by Schubert, Chopin, Mozart, Debussy, Ravel, Schumann and Liszt.
