Mándy Ildikó táncos-koreográfus társulatával egy négy éven át tartó előadássorozatot tervezett, hogy emléket állítson a már-már teljesen elfeledett, húszmillió áldozatot követelő, Nagy Háborúnak.
Az anyaggyűjtés, az adatok, információk feldolgozása nyomán folyamatosan íródik az előadás.
Korabeli krónikák, irodalmi művek, többek között Ádám Éva (Kamenitzky Etelka), Ernst Jünger írásai, Kassák Lajos, Babits Mihály, Palasovszky Ödön, Christian Morgenstern versei idézik a 100 éve történteket.
Az előadásban elhangzó irodalmi és korabeli szövegrészleteket versekre és népi dalszövegekre megzenésített dalokkal egészítjük ki, akár egy korabeli kabaréban, frontszínházi előadásban.
A dalokat Márkos Albert írta csellóra. A zenei kíséretet Kallai Nóra csellista játsza az előadásban.
Az előadásban a szó ereje irányít mindent. A beszéd nemcsak a teret és a cselekményt határozza meg, de az előadásban szereplő színésznő, Záhonyi Enikő, is az elhangzó mondatok dinamikájából, zeneiségéből kiindulva építi játékát. Teste alárendelődik a szavak gesztikus hatalmának, hagyja, hogy teljes mértékben ez irányítsa a mozgását.

Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
