Egy szupermarket alkalmazottainak monoton életét két fontosabb jelenség szervezi: a Blocq-kal, a kiállhatatlan főnökkel szembeni győlölet, valamint munkatársuk, a hányattatott sorsú Estelle folyamatos kihasználása és szekálása. A munkaközösség eseménytelen hétköznapjait a főnök hirtelen bejelentése borítja fel: Blocq gyógyíthatatlan betegségben szenved, vállalkozásait pedig beosztottjaira hagyja, azzal a feltétellel, hogy minden évben egyszer megemlékezzenek róla valamilyen formában. Estelle azt javasolja, vigyék színpadra közösen Blocq életét...
Joël Pommerat kortárs francia drámaíró és rendező. Ma chambre froid (Az én kis hűtőkamrám) című előadás, a 2011-es párizsi ősbemutatót követően megkapta a Molière-díjat és a francia kritikusok éves elismerését egyaránt. A darabot Theodor Cristian Popescu viszi színre a Szigligeti Színházban, aki több európai és amerikai rendezése után immár második alkalommal dolgozik együtt a nagyváradi társulattal.
