Az anya morfinista. A fiatalabb fiú tüdőbajos. Ma válik bizonyossá. Az idősebb az apja nyomdokain jár, gyengébb kiadásban. Örökös harcban áll vele. Az öccse tehetségére féltékeny. Alkohollal kúrálja magát. Az apa színész, nagy tehetségnek indult, de aprópénzre váltotta talentumát, zsigeri félelem él benne, hogy szegényházban végzi, és ezért betegesen fösvény. Nem főbenjáró bűn ez, mégis nyomorúságuk egyik forrása.
Azt mondják, a szeretet mindent legyőz. Nem, nem mindent. Nem akarnak tudomást venni róla, hogy Edmund tüdőbajos, nem akarnak tudomást venni róla, hogy Mary gyógyíthatatlan. Nem akarnak fájdalmat okozni a másiknak, ezért hazudoznak. Tehetetlenségükben gyilkolják egymást. Az okokat keresik. Hol, mikor siklik ki egy élet, melyik az a pillanat? És ha tudnánk, hogy ez az a pillanat, másképp csinálnánk?

The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.
