Az amerikai írónő Romance.com című vígjátéka az internetes ismerkedés világába vezeti be a nézőt, ahol mindenki annak adhatja ki magát, akinek csak akarja. Így történhet meg, hogy egy nagymama magát az unokájának kiadva keres párt a fiatal lánynak és eközben megismerkedik valakivel, aki szintén nem annak mutatja magát, aki. Az amúgy is vígjátékba kívánkozó alaphelyzet akkor válik igazi, vérbő komédiává, amikor a magát 25 évesnek kiadó Nora, és a 28 évesként chatelő Ben randit ad egymásnak. Sok-sok félreértés után persze kiderül, hogy ki kicsoda és mindenki megtalálja a hozzá illő párt.
