Így kezdi Heltai Jenő – eddig kiadatlan – ostromnaplóját, majd folytatja:
„Ezek a kusza följegyzések napról-napra íródtak lakásokban és pincékben, óvó- és illemhelyeken, kórházban, börtönben, menekülés és bujkálás közben.”
Heltai beszámol a hétköznapi borzalmakról, és bár megjárta a csillagos házakat és a Gestapo börtönét, mégis bájos humorral és öniróniával mesél, anekdotázik. Felidézi ifjúságát, a boldog békeidők Budapestjét, elhangzanak korabeli sanzonok és a János vitéz dalaiból is néhány (a zongoránál, Darvas Ferenc).

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team.
