Egy zsúfolt pályaudvaron egy nő megpillant egy idős férfit, és hirtelen ötlettől vezérelve a nyakába csókol. Alex, a hetvenes hentes és Georgie, a negyvenes pincérnő beszélgetni kezd. Lassan, minden logika és társadalmi konvenció ellenére rájönnek: nekik dolguk van egymással. A találkozás alapjaiban forgatja fel az életüket, és végül nagy utazásra is vállalkoznak, hogy utolérjék életük elmulasztott lehetőségeit...
A cím Werner Heisenberg német fizikusra, a határozatlansági reláció elvének kidolgozójára utal. Az elv értelmében bizonyos fizikai mennyiségek csak bizonyos határig ismerhetők meg egyszerre és pontosan. Vagyis minél pontosabb értéke van az egyiknek, annál pontatlanabb a másiknak.
A brit szerző, Simon Stephens a legizgalmasabb kortárs színházi alkotók közé tartozik. Két műve, a Harper Regan és A kutya különös esete az éjszakában magyar színpadokon is bemutatkozott. Ez a legfrissebb darabja most nálunk látható először magyarul.
