Harold Pinter Árulás című egyfelvonásos drámája önéletrajzi ihletésű. A belőle készült nagysikerű film forgatókönyvéért 1983-ban a szerző-forgatókönyvírót Oscar-díjra jelölték.
A darab egy szerelmi háromszög hét éves történetét meséli el, időben visszafelé. Pinter látszólag sematikus nyelvezetű írásából három, beláthatatlanul kibogozhatatlan és szétválaszthatatlan élet kusza ösvényei bontakoznak ki.
Robert – a férj, Emma - a felesége és Jerry – a legjobb barát története mindennapi história, mindennapi emberekkel. Jerry és Emma egymásba habarodnak Emma és Robert esküvője napján és törvénytelen kapcsolatukat hét évig sikeresen titkolják a férj és a világ előtt. Vagy mégsem? Egy nap minden kiderül! Vagy mégsem? Miféle láthatatlan szálak tartják össze az emberi kapcsolatokat éveken, évtizedeken keresztül? A darab olyan kérdésekkel foglalkozik melyek, mindannyiunkat nap mint nap foglalkoztatnak.
Olyan élethelyzeteket mutat, melyekkel naponta szembesülünk, de az ábrázolás annyira finoman abszurd, hogy sajátmagunkon nevetni kényszerülünk.

There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
