Joseph Halpern nemrég töltötte be a hetvenet, morcos, hirtelen haragú férfi; hajdanán kétkezi munkásként dolgozott, jó ideje azonban saját vállalkozását irányítja. (A cége kartondobozokat gyárt.)
Dennis Johnson szintén hetven körüli, elegáns, kifinomult, visszafogott, választékos modorú úr; mielőtt nyugdíjba vonult, okleveles könyvvizsgálóként dolgozott. (Véletlenül sem mondaná, hogy könyvelő.)
A két férfi még sosem találkozott, és egyértelműen nincs bennük semmi közös. Látszólag. Ám a találkozás elkerülhetetlen, és amikor végre megtörténik, fény derül arra is, hogy ők ketten valamiben nagyon is hasonlítanak…
Ahogy kezdik megismerni egymást, régi titkok, ötven éven át elhallgatott hazugságok kerülnek felszínre. Halpernnek és Johnsonnak sok mondanivalója akad a házasságról, az emberi kapcsolatokról, és arról, hogy milyen kevéssé ismerhetjük azt az embert, aki a legközelebb áll hozzánk.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.
