Halász Judit színészi pályafutásával párhuzamosan új műfajt teremtett előadóművészként. Magyar költők verseit közel harminc éve énekli a magyar könnyűzene legjobbjainak megzenésítésében – méghozzá gyermekeknek. Generációk nevelkedtek fel lemezeinek hallgatása közben. 18 megjelent lemez után először egész estés filmkoncertet forgattak a művésznővel. A „Csirbiri” koncerten a filmkoncert zenei anyagából hallható válogatás, amely csokorba fogja Halász Judit egyedülálló pályafutásának legnépszerűbb alkotásait.
Legutoljára 2014 őszén jelent meg lemeze „Kezdődhet a mulatság” cimmel.
Legfontosabb küldetésének tartja fenntartani a családok, a gyerekek magyar költészet iránti érdeklődését és dalok formájában észrevétlenül szórakoztatva felhívni a figyelmüket az élet sok, fontos törvényére, amihez alkalmazkodnunk kell, ha a humanizmus etikája szerint akarunk élni.
A gyerekek - Magyarországon elsőként – a Mosoly-Rend lovagjának választották. A Vigszinház tagja, - a magyarországi UNICEF elnökségi tagja. A magyar állam Jászai Mari – és Érdemes Művész –díjjal, a Magyar Köztársasági Tiszti Keresztjével, valamint Kossuth díjjal jutalmazta eddigi munkáját.
