Számos Händel-oratórium magyarországi ősbemutatója fűződik Vashegyi nevéhez, akinél kevesen ismerik jobban hazánkban a hallei mester műveit, egyedülálló lehetőséget kaptak tehát az ifjú muzsikusok, hogy hónapokon át dolgozhatnak három jelentős Händel-oratóriumon. A viszonylag korai Brockes-passió mellett a Milton-szövegre írott, 1740-es L’Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato és a kései, 1750-ben bemutatott, erőteljesen operai jellegű Theodora részleteit hallhatjuk majd a koncerten. Mi több, rengeteg mindent meg is tudhatunk róluk.
